Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.“
People are naturally drawn to the light or anything that provides them with hope, especially in a world that’s full of chaos and pain.
No one is exempt from suffering even Christians. But as Christians, we have the ultimate source of hope in Jesus who is our Wonderful Counselor. And as the Prince of Peace, He provides us with inner calm in the midst of any violent storm.
As believers in this carnal world, we may the only Jesus most will see. So, let our light shine brightly as a beacon for the lost.
Matthew 4:19
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
Jesus is calling us to seek out the lost. With the help from the Holy Spirit, and the gifts and talents He has already equipped us with – will you heed His call?
