Formidable Task

As believers, we’re to share our testimony of what God has done in our lives in hope of helping others. The challenge I have is this — I don’t know which parts of my experiences I should be sharing.

I’ve had so many differing experiences throughout my life I don’t even know where to begin. There are too many to pack into a testimony.

I thought about writing poetry as one way of capturing some of these experiences. Or perhaps writing short, themed devotionals.

I know that God gave me all these varying experiences for a reason, and that I’m no longer to keep them to myself but to share with others. I’m currently feeling a bit stumped as where to even start.

I will be using the following passages as inspiration and guide to help me:

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. — Psalms 66:16

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? — Romans 10:14

  1. As you consider the writing paths, Anna, here’s another verse. “My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.” Psalm 45:1
